3 Detox Water Recipes to Help Eliminate Bloating

 

Trying to beat a bloated stomach before you hit the beach? Mix up one of these recipes, sip until it’s finished, and let the ingredients work their magic.  

Hot and Sour Detox Water

Dr. Amy Lee gave Byrdie the inside scoop on this recipe, and it delivers quite a zing! 

Ingredients: 

  • One fresh lemon, juiced (keep the wedges) 

Natural diuretic known to boost energy 

  • 2-3 dashes cayenne pepper 

Increases the metabolism and acts as an anti-inflammatory

  • 2 cups ice

Directions: 

Step 1: 

Pour ice into a 32 oz jar.

Step 2: 

Add lemon juice and wedges. 

Step 3:

Fill the jar with water, sprinkle cayenne pepper on top, and enjoy.

Slimming Strawberry Detox Water 

In the mood for something on the sweeter side? Pickled Plum's recipe is just what you need.

Ingredients: 

  • Strawberries, sliced

Supports the production of hormones that help burn fat 

  • Orange, sliced 

Curbs cravings with its high fiber count 

  • Mint leaves

Helps the process of digestion 

Directions:

Step 1: 

Place strawberries, orange, and mint leaves in a pitcher. 

Step 2: 

Fill the pitcher with water and stir.

Step 3: 

Let the flavors seep in the refrigerator for at least two hours, then serve.

Cranberry Flat Belly Detox Water 

You can mix up Holly Habeck’s recipe in less than five minutes! 

Ingredients: 

1 ½ cups 100% pure cranberry juice 

Natural diuretic that improves digestive health 

  • 2 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar 

Suppresses cravings and lowers blood sugar 

  • ½ small lemon, juice 

Natural diuretic known to boost energy


Directions:


Step 1: 

Pour the cranberry juice, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice in a 32 oz jar.
